Self-Catering Apartment (rated 4*)

Le Clos d'Albray proposes one "gîte" (self catering apartment) for 3 persons (70 sq.m), located on the first floor of the main building with  independent access and garden. The Gite has:

 

  • a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, oven, micro-wave,  dishwasher,  washing-machine,  refrigerator-freezer, toaster, electric kettle

  • a living/dining room with TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi, a small library with pocket books in French and some in English and Dutch

  • a bedroom with one 160cm bed and one 100x185cm, a radio/alarm clock

  • a shower room with toilet (+ hair dryer and bath-gowns)

  • a  garden with a barbecue, garden table and chairs under a pergola, 2 long chairs

  • a car park

  • central heating; double-glazed windows in all rooms

  • ground bowls and swimming pool available to the guests

  • household linen (bed sheets, towels for shower and swimming pool, tablecloths, dish towels) are provided and included in the cost

Cleaning of the apartment at the end of the stay is proposed at an extra cost (50 €). Upon arrival, you will find your bed already made and the china, dishes, glasses, etc cleaned and ready for use

Le Clos d' Albray" offers 4 light,  warm and nicely decorated guest rooms (72 and 60 sq ft) with private bathroom and garden views. Each room  has a television, a DVD player (DVD lending),a radio-alarm clock and a hairdryer. A secured swimming pool, a bowls pitch, a parking, and a library  are available to the guests. The 4 rooms can accommodate up  to  11 persons. A kitchen is also available to the guests (from 19h00 to 21h00)

  • The gite is open all year around and is available from Saturday 17h00 to the following Saturday morning 10hrs. Short stays are possible

  • The guests-rooms are open all year around and are available from 17h00 on arrival day until 11h00 a.m on departure day

Comps La Grand Ville and Surroundings

Seat of the Cistercian abbey of Bonnecombe, Comps La Grand Ville has a parochial church with a remarkable retable of baroque style  made in 1660 for the abbey of Bonnecombe.  This retable was moved to Comps La Grand Ville in 1806 by priest Mignonac to be protected from plundering; the chorus of the church being too small, it was cut down. A tabernacle coming from another retable of Bonnecombe was embedded there and restored in 1965.

 

Visiting Aveyron

The department of Aveyron has the greatest number of touristic conservations areas in France. Within 80km around Comps La Grand Ville, you will easily reach, by the mains roads or by beautiful small country roads:the Abbey of Bonnecombe at Comps La Grand Ville (guided visit), some beautiful classified villages (11 !!) such as Conques, Belcastel, Sauveterre de Rouergue, Najac, Cordes-sur-Ciel (Tarn), etc, the cities of Rodez, Villefranche de Rouergue,Roquefort;  the Viaduct du Viaur, the Château du Bosc (Toulouse Lautrec's summer house), the Château du Colombier and many other castles, the Découverte of Carmaux (theme park), the lake of Pareloup (16km), the lakeof Pont de Salars (25km), the famous Viaduct de Millau, Micropolis, the fortified villages, the Lot valley, the Tarn and the Dourbie gorges, the city of Albi (Tarn) (78km), animals parks, etc, etc....

  • from Millau (57 km) ~ D 911 until La Primaube, D 902 direction Cassagnes-Bégonhès, D 82 direction Comps La Grand Ville.
